Brown Babies follows the love story between Zay, a Morehouse graduate and software engineer, and Asia, a junior newspaper editor and aspiring children's author. After meeting at a college homecoming weekend in Atlanta, the two quickly fall in love. When the pair start to build their family and Asia gets pregnant with twins. Dr. Edward, their black, female Obstretrician handles the first stages of the pregnancy but then has to take a sudden absence. She is covered by Dr. Gall who is white, dismissive, and cold cut who ignores the complications that Asia voices to him during her pregnancy. This results in Asia tragically dying while giving birth to her newborns. Now a broken, grief-stricken new father, Zay is left to pick up the pieces of his life, raise his new twin girls on his own, and fight for justice to avenge his fiancee's wrongful death.
